I found these wheels. Need opinions.
I found these 4/130 wheels that are 15x6.
They are "modern" looking and listed as powder coated aluminum 6 spoke rims. The listing describes them as "Julien Racing Wheels". I found out this "julien" is actually Darwin wheels. Anyone have info on these? They have an et15 w/ a backspacing of 4". I am very interested because I am on a tight budget and the little guys sell for about a $100 each. Also, They are incredibly close to stock. BTW I'm new here and this is my 1st post, but I've been lurking for almost a year! =) I own a '74 super. The attatcment is my car and the link to the rims is: http://www.aircooled.net/new-bin/vie...26200471671403 |

they look cool. Hadnt seen those before. If thats what you can afford and you really like them, I say go for it. No one else probably has them yet.

About the rims...
Well, I hadn't seen them either before one month ago.
I've already asked around w/ a few of my bug mechanic friends and they think they'll fit just fine! =) As for tires...I've shopped around and they seem very reasonably priced for that size as well. I wanted to place a VW logo on the center cap...There are stikers available through VW. Think that'd work? Thanks for the reply. I still can't decide between a "low profile" tire and a "normal" one. Seems like the latter would present less problems in the long run though. Also, where do I post my bug pics for member rides? |

They look nice. If you go with a low pro tire you will need to go with a different 4th gear for highway driving.
