Which porsche as a donor vehicle?

If you were to take a vehicle as a donor car from which to steal transmission, brakes ect to merge with a 1302 which would it be?

I see the 944 referenced quite often, would a 1986 924 be any good?
I may have the offer of one but no point taking it of nothing is useable

The 944 is a great donor for brake, suspension, seats, etc and maybe gauges. You will not be able to use the transmision but may be able to clean it up and sell it to another 944 owner.

A '80 or later 924T works as well.
