home growm dyno

is there such a wa to build a home dyno machne and use gagues of some sort to figure hp an torque. could you possily gt the measurements and then mathmatetically figure the stats?

what would you need?

Do a search using google or other search engine. I remember seeing some info on a homemade dyno that used a hydraulic pump/valves/gages. Heat would change your readings but with carefull notes you could use it for engine development. The numbers would not directly compare to a commercial dyno. All dynos read a little different anyway....

i once saw a kit wear u jack up the rear end on these special jacks and u take the rear wheels off then u connect this thing to the bolt pattern and hook up the thing to ur computer and it automatically loads a program and u got all ur gauges and stuff on ur screen. I'll look for it, sorry for all the "things"
