engine was origanly built by stateside tuning for there 914 cuircut racer,then rebuilt by me with the addtion of a pair of 48idf's and a race exhaust.

not sure on the wieght but would guess about the same as stock. will be going on a diet over the winter as have some light wieght fiberglass panels to go on, bonnet. deck lid, wings all made from race wieght fiberglass. the deck lid we have made is half the wieght of a stock steel one.

hey judgie, what is your front spoiler/bumper made of? i know its metal, but like what guage? and did you make it, or buy it? your bug is my instipration for mine, just different colors is it naturally aspirated? and i noticed in your build gallery you had a picture of the rear of it, that had the vallance bent out. did you make this? if so how?

the front spoiler is 1.2mm alloy sheet formed into shape by hand as is the rear valance. the splitter is 10mm marine ply.
i now have a fiberglass late style rear valance to go on and i'm redoing the front over the winter as well. soon as i have done any work on it i'll post some more pic's up.
