Pistons for T4
Okay, I'm hoping some of you T4 junkies will jump in with some direct experience. I'm going to have my 1.8L jugs bored for 96mm pistons to build a 1911cc engine. Which pistons should I use? Some considerations:
1. I want reliability. 2. A normal compression ratio ~8.5:1 3. Nothing unobtainable. 4. I plan on using stock rods. It looks like I can fairly easily get my hands on Keith Black's, AA's, and maybe a few others. Thanks

Get some KB's and make sure to verify that the proper piston/cylinder clearance is maintained.

What would that clearence be? I mean a stock VW barrel bored for a 96mm KB pistons. Do KB pistons vary in diameter by much more than a 0.001"? Matt

I sell the KBs with either new or bored OEM cylinders (bored OEM ROCK!) with the correct skirt clearance and plateau finishes all torque plate honed- Remove the guesswork for just a few dollars more- Its worth it.
