Can't Upload Photos
I am trying to load up some photos of my '72 1302. I utilised "FAQ" . There I am directed to go to User Control Panel and click on the 'Pictures & Albums' link. When I go to my User CP I do not find such a link. Can you help out here?
Also, when I go to the German Look tuning (www.germanlook.com/store/>) web page there is no contact email or phone number. I need to first speak with someone there before placing an order. Yesterday, I did speak with both Lanner Khan of Vdub Engineering and Jon of Top Line Parts. I am also interested in exploring the possibility of Kerscher parts, hence my desire to exchange emails or speak directly to someone from germanlook.com. I am hoping to quickly determine exactly what parts I should go with, place an order and begin work in earnest on the pan. Can someone tell me how to make contact with the German Look tuning people? |

German Look Tuning hasn't gotten off the ground. It's owner, superman, just took this site's previous domain name for his parts store, so there will be some time before it's open for biz.
As for posting pics, I tried too, and can't. I can't change my avatar to the one I had before this site went down the last time. This site has changed hands recently from superman, to Sandeep, and NO_H2O, and also moved to a new server, so there may be things left to work out still.

Sandeep is working on several things for this site. He also has many spring season activities with family. I am sure he will have things smoothed out soon.

Patience
Thanks. I saw some of the back and forth about the GermanLook com/net site. I am sorry that this has happened and do hope that all can keep their integrity and respect and one day that the parties can hoist a (web) pint together.
I can't even figure out wheel offset so, as a true ignorant newbie, I am focussed on the tech forms trying to figure out where to begin. Yes, family first, I will happily post my pics when Sandeep has that section up and running. I would like to go with the best parts that I can afford and that make sense for my project. I really did like what I heard from Lanner and did find Jon to be pleasant and helpful. As an ignoramious though, I find email and forums to be more helpful than a phone call. Too much info and too quick on the phone. I need to read and reread and look up terms etc. I am happy to consider Kerscher parts, or Top Line product and am certainly now leaning toward P brakes. Bon Chance to the GermanLook.net team. Yes, and always, family first. Cheers, |

I think things have calmed down now that the truth is out. We have the germanlook site back up and running. Sandeep has done a great job.
The "Sticky's" on the Wheel forum here sould be helpfull to you in selecting wheels. Lanner puts out great products and would be my first choice when looking for a brake setup. He knows what you will need and will not steer you wrong. He also was the first vendor to stepped up with support funds to get this site back up and running.

VWCoupet,
There is a link above (under "Community") http://www.germanlook.net/forums/album.php where you can upload pics to an album that you control. Make sure the album is "Public" so all can see it. Let me know if you are having any other issues. Sandeep |

Thanks
Thanks Sandeep. I didn't see that link. I built the body stand that high as I only have a double garage and the '67 sits in there two. This way I can roll the pan under the body when I'm not working on either. I built it quite strong as I haven't yet removed the glass.
Looking forward to fixing up that hole and getting going on the pan. I am coming closer to making a decision on wheels, brakes etc. At the moment I am leaning towards going with P parts. Cheers, |
