Just a little update from NUTTA-land MY Bug now has a years MOT wow that took some work i can tell ya...
The car is painted now in BMW new mini cooper metalic grey and i think it looks lovely.
At the moment the car is running n/a(my efi system is to be fitted this or next month) on turbo 40mm dells, the turbo is connected to the motor but not blowing into the engine...My mate chris who owns the workshop my car is housed in took me down the road in her, thats the first time she'd been down the road since 1995 ish...
i was worried about my 915 5speed not having all the gears as it may have been previously enjoyed but it seemed ok PHew.
The first photo shows the removable rear end
Second the 915 mount
Third the 996 carrer cab wheel, sparco fuel filler and water pipes for the charge cooler
i have also had to build a garage for her to live in its one of the metal flat pack units.
Question: how do you get a 5mx3m metal garage into 3 small boxes
The supplier managed to get it all in only trouble is you need a home depot degree in metal fabrication to put all the bits together ARGHHH
makes building the bug the easy bit, Ha ha

Wow, 2 years and 2 months since last post!

Keep 'em pics comin' mate. Now you got me interested in your bug too! What kind of pipes did you use for your water-lines? What rear lights do you have installed? It looks real nice!

I am really interested in the removeable rear end. I can see the two square tubing bits welded on, but I dont fully understand how your set-up works? Care to shed some light?
