915 Slave cylinder

Hello, I'm not sure if this thread has been beaten to death or not. So here is another lash on the 915 slave question.

I have a 915 transmission. I am not sure of its ratios or year, at this point it does not matter. Has anyone completed a sound hydraulic slave assist for the 915? I have three supers, and I would like to put together the first one using my 915.

How much travel does it take to apply the clutch using a slave cylinder?

There does not seem to be many options left as to the clutch apply issue on the 915.

Your input please, Thanks in advance.

I got your Email, but will give you answer here. I was getting close to mocking the rear (front is complete) after my header build, but mother nature had other plans... EF4 TORNADO through the middle of my subdivision My house faired well, but is requiring all my attention at the moment. Volkdent drove thru my area, and can comment on what he saw.

Wally had his running, but jumped to G50 now.

901 not 915

While my build is a 901 based build I can tell you that I am adapting a Jamar slave Cylinder using a totally custom install requiring some pretty heavy fabrication (trans mount / slave cylinder mount / master cylinder) and have yet to totally finish the setup (hopefully this weekend will see the first bleeding of the system).

If you need information on this please let me know as the parts may work for you as well.

Yes, I would like information on your method. My 915 I will need to get the clutch fork. I bought it with a stuck slider. I believe whatever is causing the gears to not mesh can be ealily sorted out. So again, yes please share.

Here was my solution to the slave cylinder mounting.

I've not tested it on the road but it works sweet in the garage
