Need help fast !!!

Qucik rundown of my car , 72 super Maxx struts and all the other Topline goodies (disc brakes too) . The problem I am having is with my wheel fitament
16x7 porsche phone dials 205/50/16 ,the back spacing measurement is roughly 6-1/4"and i have 3/8" spacers. THEY DONT FIT ! they clear the fender but hit the strut ! When I called topline I gave them the measurements for my wheels and they said nothing about them not fitting ! SO , am I screwed or what ? Any reason they wont fit ? Did I miss or overlook something ? I just spent all that money on spacers , tires , studs , lug nuts and now I'm stuck. Please help me !!!!

sounds like you need either differant tires or differant spacers.

if you go with wider spacers you'll have to roll your fenders sothere's no rub on the lip.

otherwise go with a differant rim

16 x 7 phone dials have a 52.3 mm offset on the 7" wide rim so I have
no idea why you would be rubbing with a 3/8" wide spacer.

I have a similar setup running maxx struts with 17 x 7 with 55mm offset
porsche wheels I had no rubbing on the strut whatsoever. In fact there
was about an 1/8" of clearance between the wheel and the strut. I was
using a 3/8" spacer as well.

You should have an extra 3mm of clearance between the strut and the
wheel then I did seeing as your offset is 52 and mine was 55.

It has nothing to do with the tire whatsoever.
I running the same width tire.

Are you sure it is a 3/8" spacer?
Maybe you spring isnt sitting in the strut tower properly and its not
lined up like it should be...

the spacers are 3/8" , the springs are sitting flush in the strut , how much of an angle (like camber wise) are the struts supposed to be sitting at ? Any other factors that I should look at ?
