Euro-spec Fuel Injection Apron

I would like one of these things for my 1302 but I am at a loss as to where to look. These aprons bulge slightly like the US version for fuel-injected bugs but they retain the dual exhaust outlets. (At least, that is what I think from the pics I have seen.)

Even if you don't have one, I would appreciate any leads you might be able to give to me.

LAP has replacement ones. a little pricey to get over here, but they have them. i am considering a c/f one. i really want to go to a removable (preferably in c/f), but haven't found any stateside so far.

I went to the usual suspects for a f/g one -- even if it didn't have the dual cutouts. I figured I could have the cutouts made. I couldn't find anyone that made one for a '75-'79.

Mine doesn't have to be c/f since it is relatively small and there is no other c/f being used as a weight saver ... plus, it would be painted anyway. Metal would be fine.

I'll check into LAP. Thanks, zen.

I saw that one on the Samba and was wondering if that was what I wanted. Thanks for the confirmation.

Now having seen the other ad, is there any reason why this apron shouldn't fit a '71? I realize a '71 doesn't have fuel injection but I will need the bulge if I get a Type IV engine.

I noticed today Cip1 has the late model fuel injection apron. It was around 90 bucks...but was out of stock. There was no picture yet..but the description said "Late model apron with bulge and exhaust cut out on left side"
No notes on when it would be in stock tho.

The engine I'm scouting has an L A Performance exhaust included ... with heater boxes.

Yeah, that's the US-spec one for fuel injection. One cut-out hole. I think that's because the US version had a catalytic converter, too.

Left side, eh? I thought it was right side. Oh, I'm probably wrong. Either way, I need the Euro-version. Thanks anyway.
