No one knows? Ehh... its not gonna be awhile till i get the disk brakes but i would kinda like to know if their gonna fit or ill start lookin for new wheels and tires too. It's my daily driver so I don't wanna switch over to the disks some weekend and go to put my wheels on and not have em fit, then not have a car to drive cuz the tires rub on everything or rims rub on the coils or somthing weird like that. Once again thanks for any help.

is the car lowerered? How much?
Does it have stock width fenders? Are you running stock springs or narrow ones?

Uhh. the cars pretty much stock suspension wise. The fenders are stock width too. Coils are stock as far as i know. Its a stock super but its gettin there, its a 72' super beetle if you need to know that i dunno?

I too have a 72 Super, and I am running 16X6 C2's with 205/55/16's in back and 195/50/16's up front. I have the Topline MaxxStrut up front to clear the bigger wheels, I had to remove about 1/3 of the rear bump-stop cup. I am also running 3/8 spacers on all 4. I had 205/55/16's on the front but had a slight tire rub on the left front fender in a hard right turn so I went to a 195/50. Without the MaxxStruts on the front I could not get the wheels on the car. I could maybe have used the Sport Spring and an Adjust-A-Strut but it would have been close. The Phonedials are the older offset I think if so you would skip the 3/8 spacers.

phone dials came in both offsets (23mm & 52mm)
if they are 23 you can skip the spacers and you probably wont rub on the stock springs. if they are 52, then you will need a 3/8" / 10mm spacer and a narrow spring like the Maxx struts, Kerscher struts or adjusta struts with sport springs. otherwise you will probably need a 1" bolt on spacer to clear the springs.

I don't think there is anyway to get a 16X7 wheel/tire under the front of a 1302 with stock fenders without a narrow strut spring.

I didn't say you couldn't get them under stock fenders, I said not with stock springs. You would have to got with the MaxxStruts or something like them. There is a wheel offset calculator sticky thread at the top of the wheel/tire forum.you can use it and do some measuring with a tape and strait edge and see if they will fit. You might have to down size the tires.

offset
...please....restrain yourself....the word "pimpin" belongs over on the rice board....
The offset is marked on the inside of the wheel - right next to the size. It'll look something like - 16x7ET23.3 HTH,

K, sorry bout the word choice I'm not a ricer, far from it. So for the tires say maybe a 210 or 205/ 45/ r16, would that work. So if my wheels are 23 for the offset, then I could fit them under stock fenders with new coils? What coils would be the best for say around $300? Once again thanks for the help I'm a new person at all this tire and wheel fiting stuff.

if it is a 23mm offset, they should fit without new springs, but they will probably stick out past the edge of the fender. if it is a 52mm offset, they will need narrow springs/struts and a 10mm spacer to fit and will not stick out past the edge of the fender.
