stock 1.9DG wbx with 14psi the final results!!!

this is the final results of the test 1914cc WBX turbo motor before the big one goes in!!!!

I was surprised with the power output of this motor, the turbo system is over sized for this engine ,but it has been a good testbed for me .

the block is compleatly standered 1.9 DG, wbx with hydro lifters(hence the valve float above 5000rpm!)

on the graph you can realy see when the turbo starts to make boost compared to the stock power graph

with 14psi of boost it has compleatly woke up the motor, i could run more boost but the engine rev's so fast, the valvetrain can't keep up!!!
as you can also see the power band is quite small, that is due to the T3/T4 hybrid turbo being to big for this engine.
but that OK for now.

the engine was tested on a Bosch TUV(DIN) rolling road(the one's the manufactures use to certify there power ratings, basicly the best rolling road there is)

Incredible Marco! especially because of the stock (!!!) engine block you achieved it with.
Shows what a programmable EFI with the right injector size(s) can do! and your nifty self of course LOL.
The intercooling was probably also an important factor...
I'am still curious what your set-up would do to a stock 914 2,0 ltr engine... (Turbo'd EFI, watercooled intercooling)
Thanks for showing your results.
Walter

Awesome!

Great work on that setup.

Curious as to what cam you plan on running in the future?

Just shows how beefy the T5/WBXers really are! Kind of surprised the dual springs would float that quick.

(quietly thinking of T5 2.1 with CIS FI turbo setup)
