Oh yeah a headliner in a bug is a pita to put in, took us almost a full day(noobs)
http://img440.imageshack.us/img440/7...beetle5tf9.jpg
some stuff i bought at a swap meet when i first got the bug lol
http://img440.imageshack.us/img440/7...beetle5tf9.jpg
yes its EMPI i diddnt know empi was bad
This is what it looks like so far, it has Tbars on the front as a update now lol I got a hood in the garage, my dads friend replaced the rust spots on the hood(vent area) with new metal so my hood is ready for paint.
http://img103.imageshack.us/img103/9...beetle8tw3.jpg
hood isnt on it yet though.I got a 1600cc a few months ago for 400 bucks, was professionally rebuilt and the guy didnt use it, instead he got a 1835cc for his ride.I paid 500 bucks for my car, only real rust was in the hood and the hole i made on the floor where the battery goes...i put my foot through it, didnt know it was weak , least i didnt have carpet in it and the battery there lol
What ya guys think?
I dont think it classifies as german look or cal look but...whatever lol

Nice. It looks good. It may not be a Germanlooker, but it's all good.

I also have a '72 standard. It's not GL, it's not even close. It is a reliable daily driver though. It has one Very good 1600 DP and it's lowered in the front. Other than that, it's mostly stock.

I know I have a thread about wheels already, but what rims(being the pics are here) would you put on my bug if you owned it with this 2 tone?

Old fashioned look? How is it old fashion lol
And 8 spokes everyone uses and the 4 lug BRM's I dont think would look right, unless you can photoshop some chrome ones on?I was thinking of the stock chrome rims.Found a site that sales 15x7 and 15x8's in them. They have the stock offset too, but Id have to run wider fenders in the rear which I dont mind.

Sorry, I meant that for the bi-color paint scheme. You're right everyone rolls on EMPI 8's, and that's enough to discard them. And i think they sell chrome brm replicas, but i'm not quite sure. What about some chrome fuchs?, they'd sure look nice, specially if you're into chrome rims.

Well you're right, i don't really like painted wheels, they are just rice to me.
That's an interesting style, makes sense to have a classic looking car with newer details.

Yeah when he told me the idea I was like huh? Whats Decko? He said its where old schools mixed in new school, but now I'm looking at rims and theres not a whole lot that look right, I was looking at the german look bugs and the rims they use wouldnt look right I dont think, but I think I got my mind set on these.
These for the front

These for the rear
http://www.jbugs.com/store/merchant....gory_Code=1278
Kind of new school I think.

I just need the basics, window scraper, trim, and other little ods and ends.

I checked them already, they got a 1 piece kit,but I want the stock kit, jbugs has the kit i need but half the stuff they put in the kit I dont need which is why its 210.00 for brazilian and 240.00 for german quality, and thats not with shipping.most performance sites seem to sell 1 piece though
