air struts

I was looking at airkewlds site and saw they have a air strut for super beetles and i was wongering if anyone has used them and are you able to still use a wider wheel with those struts and is the handle just as good if you used a topline lowering kit. I want to lower my car but still be able to raise it with no problems to cruse the streets since its a daily driver I plan on doing this soon as I get more info on what would be good for daily use and not be a pain to have such a poor set up and waste money

Air struts...

I think those are if you want that "Low Rider" look.

Dunno for for sure so don't quote me, but last I checked that wasn't a real performance Item so much as an aestheic one.

Apparently Air-Ride has made some great improvements in the air spring technology department. Praxis is also going that way. I think it won't be too long before air springs are considered performance items. Imagine a road race car that can lower itself to almost nothing on the straight aways then jack up a bit for the corners to hit the curbs, maybe GPS controlled. Currently though, I think the air bags are not to that level for aircooled VWs, as well, the bags on the struts take up a lot of room, so you'd be running really with narrow tires or wide fenders to use wider tires.

But how is it with the hardness on NOT the normal hide!! I also think that air-ride is more show... but for real adjustments on your car not worth it..

If I do something on fast higher en lowering in the far futher I will go hydraulics with accumulators.. the hardness and stifness of the supsension can set on your own wishes at EVERY HIGHT!!!
