I just made a phone call. To justin (coral 61 turbo) He said he had the highest #'s for a bug #'s 352. He said that a rail buggy had the highest #'s 370 something. The boys I talked to earlier must have been drunk

Cool! I met Justin at Taco Smell on APD 40 last week. He saw the VW patches on my jacket. Hmmm, why would anybody be drunk at daytona beach LOL!

Thanks for stopping by Wendell.
I have no idea why anyone would be drinkin' at a big VW show weekend.

sixseven is Wendell, he works swing shift where I work (drives '61 "hood ride" bug). Justin is not a member here He just knows Wendell (they are in the local club) You have seen Justin's bug though. The early coral red rag top with chrome BRM's and side draft turbo hidden behind the fan shroud...very detailed car. It was at dyno day (kept inside) last year. I have pix, but they are on my crashed hard drive I'm still trying to recover

Saw that turbo car in SC last year. Really nice! Think i saw it for sale on thesamba around Christmas time. It didn't sell? Looked like a bargain.

He bought it off the samba a few years ago. He wants to build something else so he may of had it on there for sale.
