Early phone dial 23mm offset 15x7 wheels...

Will these fit a super or late standard with 2" widened fenders? I came into these pretty much free on a 944 parts car and I'd like to use them if I can.

thanks,
jim

Bueler... Bueler... hehe, no worries everyone. I'll stick em on once I get the suspension swapped over and figure it out from there.

ive been looking into porsche fitment a little and on a super 7" will fit under standard fenders

23et will fit the rears but on the front ive been told 40+et with my choice of 52et needing a 10mm spacer on the front.
you also need slimmer struts to standard.

I had these wheels (7x15", ET23.3) on my '73 standard bug and they fit front and back with no rubbing. This was on redrilled stock brakes and with stock size wings (fenders). The bug was lowered all round, adjusters up front and 1 spline at the rear.

Right on, no worries on the struts as I'm building my own coilovers with MK1 VW inserts and Ground Control sleeves. :agree:

I'm running 944 suspension front and rear (the narrowererer early aluminum arms), so I'll probably end up having to graft a lip of some sort onto my fenders, kafer style. I'm surely not chucking out 6+ bills for glass fenders all around, I'll just make em wider myself and put that $ into more power.

Thanks for the answers, you two... I'll post up some pics of it rolling rough on the susp/wheels when I get a chance to play with it. In the process of moving right now, so it hasn't been getting the attention it needs. Soon though, soon.

jim

Got the rear suspension on, still need to order up some ball joints for the front. Gonna need some wide fenders to tuck these wheels.
When I get the front rolling on the porsche wheels, I'll figure out what size fenders I need and start on the body.

You've had almost a year. How's it going?
Did you get the fronts on?

i believe the bug is on the back burner, if not the no burner.

he started working at a vw/audi tuner (rs motorsports) so he's going full-on watercooled right now. his cars are pretty sweet, and cheaper in the long run with the deals he can get through work.

i'm now doing a 944 swap on my '79 so he can live vicariously through me, and breathe a sigh of relief that he's not doing it anymore!

I just got a '74 & have a set of PD's.
I was wondering if he followed through & if he had any problems.
These aren't attatched, just laid up.
If what Trevor said works out for me, I'll be sportin' P-shoes!
Godda drop the puppy, too.

he never finished the swap because of the job switch. if those fit they'll look pretty good and i've always liked them. i'm running design 90's but i just got them yesterday, and i'm still in the process of swapping the 944 stuff onto my bug.

post up pics when you get them on!
