Just to give me and idea

THe guys on here that race, what kind of power would a bug need to run 8's or 9's in the 1/8th mile.I got a motor combo I want to build to be quick off the line but not sure if it would be cool.
My bugs a 72 standard and I was told it hass the 3.88 r/p so I'd need 195/60's for rear to get a better takeoff point.

You are correct Sir.
I played with it for a while yesterday, but I can't get it to open today.

Well it opened from the search page just now.

http://www.ajdesigner.com/phphorsepo...horsepower.php

Here are a few with different formats. I just Googled them up.

Thanks, according to the site you gave me.This is what it says (by thway I got no clue what a 72 standard bug weighs.
Your type 1 weighs about 1900 pounds and can complete a 1/4 mile in about 15 seconds. That means that you've got about 111.27 HP at the wheels, and about 144.65 HP at the flywheel.
