Head upgrades are a good idea, but if your bottom end has lots of miles. Its better to go through the bottom end also. You could break something in the bottom end adding more power to an old (stock) motor.
The carb upgrade is a good upgrade (on DB motor). Both of these mods would work alot better if you changed the cam, or added ratio rockers (1.25 or 1.4). Don't forget about exhaust. If you force more air in you have to get it out too. A better option IMO is to build another motor like you want, and save the one you have. In case you may need to put it back in if problems occur with new motor...

Yup, I agree with wrenchride, you better start from scratch if your engine is a bit old. We don't want any blown engines.
Those heads john sells are the the DRD, i've heart they're are pretty good, and they should since he is selling them. I would rather ask John which carbs/cam/exhaust to run with your specific heads and displacement, since that should be specific to each engine combo. What kinda engine you thinking of? Cheers.

hey thanks for all the help
BTW then I got the car 2 years ago the guy said that they re-built it adn changed all the gaskets and that, and I haven't Driven it yet and it hasn't been Started in about a year. why I was doing this was just to give me a bit more power for the road so I can keep up with the newer cars but I'm planing on buillding a T4 motor so should I just save that $$ and put it into the T4 and just Drive the Stock for the Summer thanks guys. Chirs.

Yes, keep the stocker. Use money for T4 MassIVe power
