Im aware there not Germanlook but..
I like these wheels and was wondering if you guys think they would fit under the stock rear fenders and possibly front too.If not the front they do make a 15x4 in these also.http://store.summitracing.com/partde...91+4294795078+

Are you trying to fit them on a super or standard? The disclaimer under "notes" is alittle scary, but maybe alot of rims say that? let us know.JR

i had those in 6" fronts with 3" backspacing on my '74 standard and they stuck out about an inch. i think 6" with a 4" backspace would either tuck or come very close. my 7" on the rear didn't have any problems, but it wasn't lowered, either. |

What bolt pattern did you have, because I only seen a 15x4, 15x6 and a 15x8 avaliable for the 4-130 bolt pattern. |

i had the 4x130 in 6", 7", and 8". i think the 7" would've tucked, but i can't swear to it. i can't imagine the 6" would not tuck easily in a normal amount of lowering.
i'll try to dig up a picture of the rears. |

here's a rear shot. it's not the greatest for showing how they would've tucked, but consider that these rears are 7" with larger tires and i think 6" would fit with zero problems.

Ok cool, from the looks of it a 6" wide would work, Id run my current 195/60's on them.
Now for the front, would you think the 15x3.5 (or 4 which is what they really are) would stick out? http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku Not sure what size tires to run on the front though, but I refuse to use 135r15's there to narrow so maybe a 175/55 work work, anybody got any ideas? I dont want them bulging out the sides though. |

weren't the vw stockers 4" wide? i've never had stock wheels, so i don't know what their offset was, but i assume that if the offset is close then the 3.5" would have to fit.
find out the stock offset and you'll know for sure. i think those wheels are sweet, by the way. |

the stock wheels i think have a 4" offset...not sure bout these though

the 3.5" wheels have a 1.75" backspace and a -12mm offset so they sound like they'd fit. i could check my spare for its size, etc., but it's a '79 super so it'd be way different.

ok thanks dave, im not really sure how different supers are up front when it comes to wheel fitments though lol.
nice bug by the way. ps what look would mine acttually be considered lol its 2 tone will maybe lower the car in front with drop spindles,or adjustable beam(if narrowing is needed) no discs, stock drums. Rear will be MAYBE lowered and inch or 2, think it would be ok? |

yeah, super front sizes and offsets are wholly different.
i'm not sure if there's a "look" that your car fits into, but i'm not big into that kind of thing anyway. my next project is only "german look" because i came across a set of porsche brakes cheap, which meant i had to run porsche wheels. otherwise mine would have an unknown "look" too. i think your car will look good with those wheels at that size. no one ever sizes them well and they never look just right. that includes mine because i got them from a friend, and beggars can't be choosers. just go with whatever you want because that'll ultimately make you the happiest. |

i've always liked those wheels. if i were you i'd probably just polish the heck out of those and spend wheel money on suspension and brake upgrades. ghia brakes are cheap!
