The one listed in his profile does not seem to work.

Thanks,

I'm in for the 18th ... have to discuss shift rod options with you guys. I've got the 901 installed but still have to make the front mount.

Let me know if anyone has a spare shift rod coupler (for T1 ) they want to bring to the meet to sell. I also need 2 front motor mounts (urethane cyclindrical shape) from any car that I could use for my front mount.

My attempt is to make a U-joint shift rod using stock beetle parts.

Pete,

I've got the T1 trans sitting on my workbench with your name on it.

As far as I know I can make the 18th.
Sandeep, I think that I have a stock beetle shift coupler somewhere... I'll look.
I need to pick everyone's brains about tranny rebuilding, gear ratios, etc...
Hope everyone had good Holidays!
Cheers,
Dave

Hey,

I was just in Canada with my girlfriend for the past 3 weeks, and I was hoping to make a BAG meeting, but I had to come home for school.

I was wondering if the meetings are open to anyone? If so I hope to make a meeting with her sometime in the new year.

BTW.. She lives in Hamilton, so she's close enough to Toronto.

The meeting are only for people who enjoy talking vw's, drinking a pint, and having some wings at a local pub... if this is not you, then please do not attend

Hamilton is about a 15-20 min drive from where we meet.

Is it at a bar? if so, my gf can't go and I won't go with out her, she'd kill me.

Hamilton is about a 12 hour drive from here, so that's not far at all.

Works for ME

Happy New Year to All !

Next Tuesday is fine also for me and look forward to talking Trannies !

Sandeep: I thought the tech info article addresses tranny mount options;
also an option might be to use a GM automatic tranny mount, cheap and
reasonably easy to adapt; just a thouth

See you all soon.

Allan

PS. I have started my P-car with V8 conversion and learning lots of
interesting way to solve some engineering challenges including a
tranny swap.
