993tt brakes?

Are these brakes worth what he is asking? how much more money would it take to make this fit my car? he lives in my city so iam thinking about buying them.

Too expensive if you ask me. For that price you can find the full set (4 calipers, 4 rotors) of something like a 986S....

That's what I was thinking I know I would love the look of those brakes but like you said I could probibly find something cheaper.

If you are considering these on the front what about the rear. you may have to factor in the cost of upgrading those as well.

well i was for sure going to upgrade the rears to a 4 pot setup but with money the way it is iam thinking about looking elsewhere for a brake setup

IMO you ought not to add such powerful brakes to the front without upgrading the rear. The bug has a brake bias of about 50/50 and so as not to reduce the braking performance, the rears need to have similar performance to the front. If these are a bargain then by all means get them and put them on the shelf until you can afford the rears to match.

Interim rear upgrade for not too much money would be larger rear drums, type 4 IIRC? Or perhaps using 924 rear wheel cylinders.

That would not compensate for the available front brake power with 993 4 pots. If the grip was available the rears would cook making matters worse. I am unaware of lining materials that would not fade prematurely. The old (sintered asbestos) Ferodo VG95 might have been suitable but it required constant use to keep the heat in - that would be problematic on the road.
