I have a set waiting for me to rebuild my 1303, is this just a stud for mounting shocks? What does this do for me versus a normal bolt?

This gives you a 3rd alternative for mounting the dampers as the top bolt is M10 and the Alloy arms have a M14 bolt IIRC:

1) Ream out the bottom bush insert to M14 (makes it a bit thin but workable though.
2) Replace the bottom bush insert with an M14 one. It preloads the rubber bush though
3) Use Lee's converter

I used a combination of 1) and 2). Both 1) and 2) pre-suppose that the dampers have rubber or poly bushes, if you have spherical bushes then you have to use Lee's converter or similar or alternatively get special spherical bushes.

Lee's converter would have been beneficial for me as I recently had one bottom bolt fall out, so this time around I locktighted it in.

typ4boy, how much are those shock bolts?

Are these bolts long enough for both a shock and a bolt?? I stumbled across a picture of similar bolts here on GL that appear to be much longer

I agree we won't get past something like these:

Those will weigh though, so its great Lee makes something lightweight to compensate
Anyone knows where I can buy a pair of these?

Thanks!
