O.K. I'm kinda feeling that one.

I'll have to give it to a auto designer friend of mine to see what he can make of it.

I'll post some sketches as they become available.

VW Trends or Hot VW had an issue a few months ago with a red ghia with mini lite wheels, and a spoiler in the front. I cant find the issue at this time though. If I remember the Ghia was on the cover..Anyone?

Ah, I found it. VW Trends Nov 2002. Seemed like a few months. Time flies when you don't have any!

Joe,

That is a sweet looking Ghia! I want the same front end on mine(been working on some sketches) but the wheels have got to go.

Sweet info.

That very same Ghia was featured on the Volksworld issue for July I believe. 2.2 6 cylinder Porsche engine and stock tranny(why the combo, not sure) but seet ride.

I still like the German Looker featured on VWspeed a couple of years back. Full 2.4 type engine, and massive(no relation) 235 rear tires with a 5spd Porsche tranny.

No, I wish I could find the freaking mag though.

I do have to say, the rear wing on Alex's Ghia it's sweet!

I want to do the same wheels wells though. exactly how in God's name did he graft them so beautifully, l don't know(hint here), but I would love to find out.

One thing, why the stock VW tranny, and not a 915?

Love the wing, but for fenders I like these better:

But that's a bit of topic, as it won't improve downforce

The last pictures look like the handywork of John kelly. The man is an artist when it comes to shaping metal panels.
