German look...other than Type 1

Alohas,

I'm new here and haven't posted much, but I'm still interested in the German look and have a few questions.

Has anyone ever seen a Type 3 or Ghia done up in German look fashion? I'm talking a real clean job like a lot of the cars we see from Europe.

Just wondering...

Alohas,

I like that first burgundy Ghia. Nice and clean. The Notch looked nice too, but I'm not one for scalloped paint jobs.

Thanks for the links, gives me something to think about.

I love those NACA ducts in the fastbacks quarter window, I want to run those on my 71.

Alohas,

I'm very tempted to find myself a Type-3 to do up in GL fashion. Does anybody know how well these cars can be modified for superior handling? I have NEVER ridden in a T-3 of any model.

Any suprises to look for besides parts that are impossible to locate?

mahalos,
Joel

I have owned 2 type 3's and they handle really well stock. If you put low profile tires & lower them evenly front & back, they handle awesome!

The type 3 has a fully adjustable torsion bar setup in the front & a built in anti sway bar too. The rear is just like a type 1.
