Stroker Engine?
Can someone explain what a 'stroker engine' is and how does it differ from a regular Type I-IV engine?
|
The tern stroker engine refers to an engine that has its stroke enlarged thru the use of a larger crankshaft.
Most engine builders enlarge the bore (pistons & cylinders) only & dont use a stroker (crankshaft) in the engine. Most common non-stroker engine combos: Type 1 1641 87 bore x 69 stroke 1679 88 bore x 69 stroke 1776 90.5 bore x 69 stroke 1914 94 bore x 69 stroke Type 4 2056 96 bore x 71 stroke 2366 103 bore x 71 stroke Thanks, I fixed it :) |
