Vented Front Fenders
3 Attachment(s)
Does anyone know where to find front fenders with boxed vents in the rear like the these? My guess is that they are custom made but maybe there is a supplier somewhere?

The first two shots are a Remelle car, and most likely one-offs, and even if they did sell them, Remelle stuff is notoriously hard to get a hold of.
Then second shot the hole is just cut into the fender I believe. Order up a set of fiberglass fenders from CCC and cut out whatever you like. I've also seen large holes drilled with say a 3" hole saw in the same area to allow the trapped air to escape. Jason |
The white car has the boxed fenders too. I just didn't have a good picture of that car. Here's a video of it in action:
<object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/4Yv9kbs_V-M?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/4Yv9kbs_V-M?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object> Thanks for your input Volksdent! I may resort to drilling holes in CCC fenders. |

Very cool video!!! Those fenders are still different though than the Remelle, again probably one offs. Remelles have a box extension, the white bug looks to just have the area removed and edged.

Best put some wire mesh where the hole is if not tour rear fender will be visiting the paint shop often! Or you a deflector plate under the fender.
