Type 4 cooling
I know there has been spirited discussions on the merits of the 911 fan versus DTM for the Type 4 engine.
Does anyone have any experience with the horizontal fan? http://www.ismi.net/riecherttuning/ibr6-50.jpg http://www.ismi.net/riecherttuning/ibr18.jpg I have read Tuna's Web site. I'm just mulling over options which would still allow a 1302 to retain its decklid. |
The FAT 911 setup requires a small half moon cut in the decklid, and you need to drill 2 small holes to move your licence plate light up about 3/4".
This places the light right above the moon cut and hides the cut very well ... use a dremel with a cut off wheel and you will not damage the paint when you make the cut. This 911 setup requires the factory 911 alternator cap with built in diverters and a small sheet metal plate on top of the 3-4 bank, as well as T1 under cylinder tins ... search for "911 fan AND datalogger" Or you can use a DTM ... the choice is yours.
