Trans mounts: Rubber vs CB rhino

Hi, I'm wondering what would be better for high hp applications, ie subaru turbo. I have high quality rubber mounts installed now from Berg, but if the CB Rhino mounts would be better (stronger, less movement), then I'd swap to those. Any tips?

Thanks

I had CB "Rhinos" and pulled them due to too much vibration and went back to HD rubber mounts... :eekno:

hmm interesting, maybe I'll leave my rubber mounts in and give em a shot then. I also have a tranny strap around the bellhousing and a berg rubber mid-mount. I just don't want the engine to move much because the timing belt cover is pretty close to the body.

I love my CB rhinos, I run a Mohr mid-mount and a bugpack kafer bar, and I have no issues with wheelhop or vibration. Works great!

Does the engine move much at idle or under torque?

Mike, very little. It certainly doesn't rock like a stocker! When under full tilt, who knows though. If you're that worried about clearance, I'd make more room.

Thanks Alex, ya I might end up removing some material from the timing belt covers, the engine/tranny are as far ahead as they are going to get without doing a whole lot more work. I can't see my engine moving much with the mid-mount and a tranny strap but if it does I'll try the Rhino mounts.

I use the black, original VW high duty rubbers at the transmission (old style).

Oh, and I drag race it with 270 hp on M&H drag slicks and they don't shear and are quite
