tailight help please
 

i recently put on some flat low profile tail lights on my beetle, but the right side is not as bright as the left side, and also i cant get the blinker signals to work. i know its a different wiring set up. Do any of you know how to make these work like normal?

Have you checked that the lights are properly and effectively earthed. The dull lighting level is symtomatic of high resistance in the circuit that I assume worked before you swapped the lights over.

nope, it was dim ever since i got the car, just never really payd attn to it.

Good chance you have a bad ground on one side.
You also should check to be sure your sockets for the dual filliment (1157) tail and stop light is correct you may have them reversed.
Many of the aftermarket kits have som pretty poor set ups for the sockets and many have the locator tabs backwards which can be corrected by just switching the stop/tail wires.
