what to grab from a 944?
I've been out of the loop for waaaay too long now and I've forgotten most of what I knew about what stuff to grab from a 944 to fit to a semi-auto beetle chassis. It's a beam front, IRS rear chassis....

presuming your 915 has coarse splinesin the ouputs, you can use 901 output flanges and VW type1 CVs on the inner end of the drive shaft or use 930 sized output flanges and 930 sized CVs on the inner...

Martin, I tested those 901 flanges in my 915...
Martin, I tested those 901 flanges in my 915 transmission in my VW chassis using stock VW type1 IRS trailing arms, stock VW type1 drive shafts and stock VW type1 CVs. Everything mated up nicely.

I think the general rule is to use drive shafts...
I think the general rule is to use drive shafts to suit the arms you use. I.e. if you use steel arms, use driveshafts from a car that had steel arms. I've got the *narrower* aluminium trailing arms...
