Thanks for the replies. I will stick with the plan of wider fenders. The tire shop guy wasn't much help so I REALLY appreciate the input.

I am in the planning stage for fixing up a 1975 Super. I want 17" wheels with 205's front and maybe 215's in the rear. I am replacing all four fenders anyway so, should I get wider? Or...
