Are wider fenders necessary for wider wheel/tires
Hi all,
I am in the planning stage for fixing up a 1975 Super. I want 17" wheels with 205's front and maybe 215's in the rear. I am replacing all four fenders anyway so, should I get wider? Or is this not necessary? Thanks, DrDuktayp |

with a 17 x 7 rim and an offset of 30 to 55 you will not need to
use wider rear fenders. this also depends on whether you are running disk brakes on the rear which would then only allow you to use the 55mm offset wheels seeing as most disk brakes widen your rear track by almost an inch.

Thanks
Thanks for the replies. I will stick with the plan of wider fenders. The tire shop guy wasn't much help so I REALLY appreciate the input.
I do plan on switching the brakes to discs and didn't even consider what that might do to the fitment. DrDuktayp |
