the VW service manual has a section on it. No diagrams tho. I think West Coast metric has a catalog with part numbers and line drawings. Hot VW had a tech issue in 2002 with a section on sunroofs too.

Anyone use Spax shock absorbers here in the US? I've seen advertisements in English VW magazines that say they come in different lengths. Haven't found anyone distributing in the states yet.

QA1 shock length

In the suspension posts of Sandeep and Humble the QA1 shock recommended is the 4855 version that is specced at 14" extended and 10" compressed. My 72 Super off the ground, with rear arms on the stops...
