Hi All,
I'm sorry to hear that LNE are not going to go ahead with their Porkies heads, so I must ask this question: I'm planning an engine around an 80mm crank and 100mm biral cylinders = 2513cc I am now looking at using a modified 914 2.0 head. By modified I mean larger valves and some really great porting, no extreme welding and re-engineering. I'm not looking to purchase an exotic head (Remmele) incase I destroy one and need to get another one before the next race. Is this displacement reasonable for a set of worked 914 heads or is the displacement too large for the capacities of the head ? I may have to rethink the future of my race beetle as I was hoping for 250HP from the LNe heads. I beleive I'll need atleast this much HP to be competetive. Your thoughts ? thanks Sandeep |
