17" on type 3

Hey all, I'm new to this site, but certainly not new to VWs, I have been driving and repairing aircooleds for 9 years.

My question is this. I have a 1970 Squareback, and a set of Momo GT2 7.5x17 ET35, will these clear the fenders on my square? I seem to remember reading that they will on shoptalkforums.com but I havent gotten any clear answer when asking about it. So, if any of you can give me any hints here, please let me know!
