![]() the reason you see so many Super GL cars is they lend themselves very nicely to the look. There are many suspension upgrades for them available in Europe seeing as they are used to racing more often then standards. In addtion, with their curved windshields they appear more modern as well. As far as whether you should modify your currect VW, that is only for you to decide, because in the end, you have to be happy with it, not us. I would evalulate the cost of fixing that one up vs. selling it and buying one in better shape. Body and paint work can be one of the most expensive parts of restoration, other then a new engine. I have found that it is way cheaper to bite the bullit and spend a few more thousand on a really nice car, then to try to fix up a beater. I will never do the latter again! Good luck!
