Help deciding on a color...

I'm about ready to send my '69 Beetle in for paint within the next month or so, but I'm still undecided on a color. I'm wanting a VW-factory solid color and I'm leaning towards a medium blue (like Dove Blue) or green. Any suggestions or pictures would be appreciated.

I'd go to a VW dealership with a large inventory and look. The choices for 2003 Passats alone (blue & green only) include Fresco Green, Indigo Blue, Blue Anthracite, Blue Silver, Pacific Blue, and Blue Spirit.

Here's a link to an auction with Fresco Green, my personal favorite.

Here's Blue Silver.

Here's Indigo Blue.

Can't go wrong with those last two either.

Maybe I should be more specific. I'm looking for pre-'70 VW/Porsche factory colors only...

Hi

Im pretty set on going Cliff Green, its supposed to be the same as Apple Green on the GT Beetles. Porsche also had some nice greens as well.

(a nice simple gray- I was originaly going to paint my bug this color)

(mmmm. a tasty deep nightsky blue)

(this is the member list)

I've noticed that a cream color and a sor of deep blue based "ox blood" red seems to be popular as well...

See fer yerself.
Hope this helps?

Later,
