PM me your email address and I'll forward a pic from the service manual. If you look at the rack in representation to the parts around it you'll see that the close proximity of the centered tie rods to the brake booster would indicate it's centered. The 5000 series and above sure as heck had better have a beefier rack... that car is heavy. True the 5000 and 4000 look different, but the 4000/VW Fox/Quantum still have tie rods that are equal length and the bracket that's missing from the illustration of the rack moves the mounting point of the inner tie rods over center of the vehicle. I have a scan I'd like to post, but I can't get it below 1mb. |
