well i primed all pieces, then shot them with the black, then shot clearcoat onto them to bring out some shine cause i used a satin black.(low gloss). yes i did stand back and look at it and decide if i wanted the chrome back but when i bought these new wheels the chrome pieces just seemed to throw off the look. it looked good with my other wheels but not these ones. so my friend said you know all those cars you see on your websites that black out the trim? you should try that. so i did it starting with the side trim and what do you know? it looked better.. so i did all the chrome pieces in black and damn look how much better it contrast' with the wheels and carbon fiber parts. i may shave the moulding off when i repaint but i am definetely shaving the turn signals. when i do repaint it later in the summer i am having all pieces i just painted powdercoated black along with window frames, suspension parts, gas tank, etc. to withstand all the everyday usage and wear and tear. cause remember i drive this car everyday 24-7, 365 a year. i can only protect it so much ya know? so with that yes i am glad to did it and if i change my mind (which i doubt ) everything is reversable. kinda cool for being done with krylon products.
