chromed pedal assy? & pedal covers

has anyone chromed their pedal assy's?

just wanted to know if the chrome caused any problems with the operation of the pedals (rhd) due to the thickness of the coating.

Also, for those of you that have aftermarket pedal covers (the screw on aluminium type), do you prefer the controls with these covers or did you like it better when the pedals were fitted with the original rubber covers?

Can not tell you because I have not driven my car yet.
I would not know the difference anyways because the last time I drove a bug was back in 93.

I think the ones I got from Hoffmann Speedster look good and are very cheap. If you do not like them you wasted about 5 UKP (maybe even less)....which is not bad at all.

I'm running the Al pedal covers from the real source. They are only $16 so they aren't pricey at all. They look ok, and I don't like how the gas pedal flops down when I come to a stop or brake hard. I think I'm going to instal a piece of rubber in between the pedal and pad like the original pad or else put a thin wire in the pack to keep it from flopping down. My 914 has nearly the same size pedals as my Supa. 914's and 911's have the same size pedals also so maybe I'll step up to the plate and get some nice pads.
