In my opinion there isnt any point on buying black rims since their lines arent so obvious as in alu or polished ones... so either way why painting your's black???

I painted mine black, cause they are only the stock steel star wheels. On 914's the bumpers, targa top, roll bar, front/rear vallances, side skirts, original Porsche side stickers and rear badges are all black. On a white 914 the black rims add even more contrast, kind of it looks so ugly that it now looks good sort of look. But it seems like everyone and their sister are running black rims, and thats what I'm bothered by. Eventually I'll give the GL treatment to my 14 but till then the black star wheels will have to do.

Black really is the new black !
![]() IMHO black rims look very cool and very stealth.... alloys that is. Not so keen on stockers, whatever the colour. |

All black I'm not so sure about, but the center done and a silver/polished lip looks awesome... but then again, I am partial since I did do mine with charcoal centers
