offset

...please....restrain yourself....the word "pimpin" belongs over on the rice board....

The offset is marked on the inside of the wheel - right next to the size. It'll look something like - 16x7ET23.3

K, sorry bout the word choice I'm not a ricer, far from it. So for the tires say maybe a 210 or 205/ 45/ r16, would that work. So if my wheels are 23 for the offset, then I could fit them under stock fenders with new coils? What coils would be the best for say around $300? Once again thanks for the help I'm a new person at all this tire and wheel fiting stuff.

Peace,
Wil

you need to look on the inside of the wheel, not the tires for the markings.

if it is a 23mm offset, they should fit without new springs, but they will probably stick out past the edge of the fender.

if it is a 52mm offset, they will need narrow springs/struts and a 10mm spacer to fit and will not stick out past the edge of the fender.

phone dials came in both offsets (23mm & 52mm)
these are the teledials that came on 944s, if they are from a 928 then they have a 65mm offset.
