Do you already have the special Subu low sump cover (I read somewhere that they exist)?
Although you didn't ask for an opinion, personally I think its too much hassle to raise the entire body for the problem at hand.

I'm not sure if that is a problem (yet). There are shorter pans available, but I'm just looking at all the options. WHen you lower the car a lot, the driveshaft angle also changes, you could raise the tranny/motor to correct this.
