Some of them are larger then factory rags. If thats the case your screwed if you want to change it. You could still do the conversion, but it would entail deskinning your roof and reskinning it with the factory rag roof. VW Trends did an article on this method a few years ago. Its a little more entailed the just cutting a hole and dropping the rag in method.

Ok, I'm going to pass on it. I just don't think I would be able to get past the aftermarket rag. It's funny, for some things I'm such a VW purist, for others, it doesn't matter at all to me.
I'll keep looking. For anyone with any inside tracks; I'm looking for a '58-'61 rag. Hopefully no rust and straight.
