Thanks Chris, but the first is very general and the other link is a yahoo group you have to subscibe to read the forum.
I really can't find any specific info on the beetle racing without spending half a day reading it all (considering I will find the info I was looking for).

Could you give me a short summery of the class rules?
Like what engines may be run and how stock the body must be?

I hope it isn't like the Fun Cup in France, which run a tube frame with fibreglass beetle-like body and Golf (Rabbit) engines...

I would also to know how many beetles averagely run in one race and if it is beetle only or if other 'youngtimers' run in the same race.

Thanks in advance,
Walter

Here are the regulations, its a PDF doc:

http://www.semsec.org.uk/downloads/2004/SEChall04.pdf
It looks wordy, but the information is there.

Note that its not a beetle specific series, but as a result of various people trying to organise beetle racing in the UK. Its a bit like the old Beetle Cup that used to run in the UK up to a few years ago, but with other cars on the track too.

Its not like the fun cup at all, the regulations allow for beetles of all types and engine sizes. Also unlike the Beetle Cup, supers are allowed to compete. Most of the bugs that ran last year are old Beetle Cup cars..

Last year there were a few beetles racing, this year there will be more, hopefully.

The FastTrack Dub Club was created to bring beetle racing enthusiast in the UK together, you are free to join up if you wish, and read the archives..

The Yahoo Group is where most of the people

Man ... wish there was some beetle racing on this side of the Pond.

PLEASE share your experiences with those of us not fortunate enough to enjoy racing in a beetle series :haveadrin

Snott,

I noticed you have a torsion beam front suspension ... PLEASE let us know how it is working for you.

Good luck to all of you !

Sandeep
