Here you are Racelook. I had a place called TAP Plastics build the bases. They are made of 2 pieces of 1/4" clear red Lexan I think. They cut them out and glued them together for me, as the process is a little tricky, bubbles form between the 2 pieces. Then I trimmed the edges to fit it the houseing. I then marked the pattern I wanted and drilled holes with a smaller bit then a larger bit but not all the way through, so the LEDs have a stop. The outside are red, the center one is Royal Purple, a color I had to get from a company called Luxeon in Canada. I had to build the houseing for it to match the red LEDS. I don't remember the impedence, but then I figured out which resistors to use to have full power for brake and half power for running lights.

We need full power on the brake lights so these foo's drinkin thier latte's and frap's can see em in thier huge planet vehicles they drive.
Im going LED soon for the rears and yours is an inspiration..
oh and also that TAP Plastics actually did something custom amazed me as well. The place down here wont do custom cutting or gluing. I wanted them to bend piece of plexiglass for a motorcycle windshield i was repairing and they wouldnt have any part of it other than selling me a giant square piece.
