My question is also, what brings that cross as extra to the car (except than unnecessary weight?)

Strengthening of the front of the trunk? What for?, so that the reserve-tire lays still?
One thing I can see is that it looks bueatiful, and that it is an good thing to have if you want your car totally unstraight after an accident. The cross just pushes hole your struttowers to the frontwindow, where you otherwise only had to make an frontpiece of the nose.

Greetings Wiebrand

adds a little bit more rigidness to the body (since my super actually has to rely on the body for strength). anyone know where to buy heigo parts? i've thought about fabbing my own but don't have the tools to do it

I don't get the "adjustable" part. Then again, I'm friggin' worthless.

vw1303's craftsmanship is once again superb, but is it really better than the fatter single-bar unit?

It is just an standard made strutbar for al supers. The only thing why it is adjustable is because of the little difference between for example 2 1303's. It's adjustable so it fits every super.
