i just actually bought some new turtle wax today to see if i could bring back some shine to the paint that was oxidized....man oh man what a differance it made on the SHINE!!!! i am actually not embarrassed to drive it around now. after 2 coats on the whole car its looks great.. i am still gonna have to redo the hood cause it was spider webbing before i parked it and then over time it lifted and got real ugly around the hood handle area. i will have pics up later of her current state but she is looking a whole lot better now....Thanks Turtle Wax...you just saved me the hassle of getting it painted sooner... ....ahhhhh who am i kidding im still gonna repaint sooner...lol

Well there's an old favorite if i've ever seen one! Good to see that your back on the VW train, not like you had a choice, once your hooked, thats it! I've been very slowly getting back on. I bought a $300 71' a year ago, and just over the winter have I been able to get a motor for it. It now has new CV boots, and fresh grease in the CVs, (that was fun), urathane gearbox mounts, and a rebuilt 1.6L, ported/polished stock heads, with k-duds. I got a sweet deal on some OEM KS cylinders/pistons, so I might drop it again to slap those on. Just need a wiring wiz to go through the electrical. I've fiddle to the point of insanity and still don't have the slightest clue...it's probably something beyond simple that I'm just overlooking. So technically, it's not quite road worthy, oh, and the paint and interior is lacking too much to list. I start a new job in two weeks, finally all this school is paying off, and i still have a semester to go! Anyways, once the wiring is figured out and I can get these carbs tuned, I'll be on the road. Really good to see your back on the boards Brian, if it wasnt for this place, I don't know where i was release my VW dreams. Oh, and i saw you tried to PM me, but my browser though you were a pop-up, hit me a e-mail sometime, we should hit up an up coming show one of these days. Laterz!
