given your list of intents and not knowing budget restrictions, i would say convert to IRS, disk conversion, adjustable shocks (Koni, etc) and a rear sway bar. throw in a cup brace as well.
cash no limit, you can look at coilovers. |

for IRS you should need:
trailing arm brackets trailing arms IRS trans Irs Axles IRS brake setup for the rear.(as i dont think you can put early brakes on a late Trailing arm) probabaly E-brake cables. Trailing arm bushings It would be easiest if you went to a scrapyard so when you get the trailing arms you get all of the junk with it. like brake hardlines, clips, brake assys., stub axles, bearings, |

Buy a straight IRS pan, strip it down and clean it up, then put all the goodies you want on it, and when your happy, put your body on it. The ease of access and the fact that you can keep your ride going in the mean time makes for a simple swap. Getting those IRS conversions in is straightforward enough, but you need a jig and its a hard place to get to.
You'll have to cut the rear shock tower mounts on your older body and re-weld them it but it's really easy. My $.02 Jason
