Yetibone, thanks for the info. I now can see that there is an 5" difference between the 944 compared with the 924. That's going to leave me short by 5" if I use 924 driveshafts.
Flat,thanks for your comments too. By the way what is an equivalent model to the Vanagon here in the UK?
So fitting the 944 A arms to the 1303 is there any problems with bolts on the 944 spring plates catching the suspension top mounting bracket that starts behind the torsion cover?
Have you guys had any mods that you have done to fit or is it just a straight bolt on conversion.
Any advice will be appreciated.

You will have to grind some off the center webbing of the rear shock towers to make clearance for the ride height adjustment bolts on the springplate. Only take off whats nessesary with a side grinder.
